About Antastic

Antastic is born out of a deep love for classic “bug-hero” comics and Tokusatsu icons like Kamen Rider. Created by writer Benjamin Carver and artist Pablo Praino, the project started with a simple idea: instead of adding to online noise about the state of modern superhero stories, build something positive—the comic equivalent of what The Orville did for classic sci-fi fans.

The Story

Anthony Andrews is The Ant—a 34-year-old superhero who has spent 18 years on the frontlines. He has the proportional strength and abilities of an ant, backed by his own genius as an inventor, using a fleet of custom “ant-bots” to aid his crusade.

Anthony has a stable home life and a loving marriage, but his biggest challenge isn’t just the villains. As the world fills up with newer, flashier ant-themed heroes, Anthony faces a unique kind of burnout: watching his legacy get diluted while fighting to stay true to his core mission—standing up for the little guy and never backing down.
